Working From Home Style with E and Co. Clothing

As working from home continues to be the new normal, there are likely pieces in your wardrobe that are getting more use than before. We’re talking to you, yoga pants and sweats! And, there are pieces likely being neglected in your closet, waiting for the day you’ll be back in the office.

Creating the perfect work-from-home outfit can be complicated. For most people, the most important factor is comfort, but they still want to look presentable. That means no more restricting dress pants and stiff button-up shirts. But, you likely don’t want to just roll out of bed and jump on a video call with your boss or a client. So, the question is, how do you find the right balance between comfy and professional?

Layering is key

An easy way to accomplish the perfect work-from-home style is the looking professional on on top, while being casual on the bottom. Since most people in the video calls will only see you from the chest up, put your focus there. Try pairing a sweater or cardigan over a simple tank or tee. A comfortable t-shirt can also become even more dressed up when paired with a blazer or our Riley Moto Jacket.

Your “casual on bottom” look can be yoga pants, a pair of joggers, or even your favorite worn-in jeans

Don’t Forget Jewelry

Adding a little glitz can also take your work-from-home style to the next level. The goal is a low-effort pulled-together look. Simply by adding a pair of earrings or necklace to your look, you can come across way more pulled together – even if you are wearing the black t-shirt you also slept in!

Mix It Up!

Don’t forget to add fun pops of color or pattern to your outfits. An easy way to do this is with the Halle Sweatshirt or Jesse Sweater. Even a sweatshirt can look professional when it's leopard print! Both looks will stand out in the right ways at your next video conference – plus, you'll be very comfortable.

Makeup & Dry Shampoo

Another easy way to look pulled together while working from home is by adding some color to your lips. Consider pulling out that red lipstick that we all know you have in your makeup bag. We have it, too! Swipe it on and connect to your meeting. Even if you are wearing minimal makeup, the red lips will make it look like you ultimately got ready for the day.

And, don’t worry if it’s been a few days since you washed your hair. Remember how essential dry shampoo was when you had a newborn and didn’t have time to shower? Pull that out again and freshen up your locks. Then, consider adding a headband or headwrap to complete the look.

No matter what your work-from-home style is, the most important thing is to dress in a way that makes you feel comfortable and gives you confidence.

Final Tips

Remember, just because you are working from home doesn't mean you can't have some fun with your clothing. Experiment with new outfit combinations – who knows what previously un-paired items might hit the jackpot. Have fun!
